Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Bauer Products Magnetic Door Holder. This will mount onto your RV or motor home's compartment door to allow you to make sure that that door will stay open rather than having to worry about it slamming shut, causing damage to your luggage or causing harm to yourself or anyone else that is loading or unloading your gear. This will require a strike plate to be mounted on the other portion of your compartment door area so that the door will stick to it. Very easy to get both pieces mounted in place.
You can see we've got clear holes here. Now, our door holder does not come with any hardware. The strike plate does. You can find the strike plate using that part number that you see on the screen there. But that will make it very easy for you to just open up your compartment door and have it stick there so that it stays open. This does give you about 10 pounds of full strength and 10 pound weight holding capability if you're using the strike plate.
If you instead decide to go with the negative component, that's going to double your weight capacity. It will give you 20 pounds of weight capacity pull strength, so very, very strong that way if you decide to go with that option. That part number is on the screen there. Depending on your needs, how strong of a hold you're wanting for your compartment door, either way, it's going to be great option to make sure that everything is staying in place. You don't have to worry about that door closing on you. These are made of a glass filled nylon casing.
That's going to provide a lot of strength and durability, especially if it's exposed to extreme temperatures while it's in storage or while you're out camping. It will hold up really well for you.Our overall dimensions, we're looking at right about one and a half inches in diameter. Our overall height, about one and a quarter of an inch there. Our mounting holes are one inch center to center, so you can see there. Very easy to get this mounted in place with some hardware.
Just put your screws through there, mount them onto your compartment door, and then get your strike plate or negative magnet to allow it to catch hold off and hold your door open for you. That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
